The main character, Maggie, walks out of her 25 year marriage on impulse and moves into her brother’s house to dog sit Albert, the Great Dane, who’s addicted to television. Her friends, who are all in similar disrepair, join her, but then take themselves to an isolated log cabin in the mountains to escape scrutiny and judgment from friends and family. The little mountain town is not quite ready for the sophisticated ladies.
